Overview
The Master’s Degree Program in Music Education (.M.Mus) is intended for music educators in the various frameworks who are interested in specializing and developing in their field and constitute a generation of cultural-educational-artistic leaders.
The program is rich and diverse in the curriculum and allows students to deepen their knowledge while constantly updating on trends and issues in Israel and around the world, all in a supportive and professional atmosphere.
Studying with senior lecturers in the academy include getting acquainted with current trends and innovations in the field of music education, advanced studies in research methods and seminars for the preparation of the final project. The program also features live and online lectures with the best lecturers in the field of music education in the world.
During the studies, students will be guided through their work on their final project. Research topics are diverse and include conducting children’s choirs, early childhood music education, elementary or high school teaching methods, music education in the multicultural space, pedagogy in the Arab sector, pedagogy for teaching an instrument, the teacher’s identity, curriculum development, creativity development and more.
In addition to the curriculum, the student will be able to receive an individual lesson in the main instrument/ subject they studied as part of the undergraduate degree – with the best lecturers of the Faculty of Performing Arts in the academy.
Graduates of the program are integrated into key positions in the Ministry of Education and in the various educational institutions.
The duration of studies is two years.
